Beechfield
Residential Care Home
For Active Christian Scientists
If you or a family member are interested in living at Beechfield you are welcome to come along for an informal visit in the first instance.  The Manager will come to your home to assess your needs and talk fully with you.  Not everyone who applies for a place at Beechfield is able to live here if we are unable to meet the person’s current needs.  We often have a waiting list, although not at the current time.

What really matters is that a resident’s needs are fully met, and that a resident is able to live as independently as possible.  Reliance on Christian Science is natural to the Beechfield way of life.

Moving into Beechfield can be marked by real progress in the well-being of a resident. All new residents come on a minimum two-week trial basis, to see if they like the house and feel at home here.  It is also an opportunity to further assess each individual’s needs and to make a care plan which indicates any special care needs.

New residents come on a three-month probationary period so that everyone involved in the decision can be absolutely sure that Beechfield is the best permanent home, fully able to meet the needs of the resident.  It also gives the resident ample opportunity to integrate into Beechfield’s community and to sample in depth the day to day experience of living here.
